As you know, since 1994 Olexander Vasylenko has been a soloist of the chamber ensemble
"Kyiv Camerata", and before he was also engaged mainly in classical music. But explorations in other directions occasionally take place as well. Actually, in 2011 several of such explorations took place in parallel resulting in releasing of as many as three albums:
"I Feel Good With You",
"Night Garden Flower" and the double "Not Yet Autumn...". And the album that you see now is dedicated to variety art music. In a way it is retro variety art, as these are arrangements and performance based on patterns of the school that includes
Ivo Bobul,
Raisa Kyrychenko, etc. Moreover, unlike lots of young "variety guys" Olexander Vasylenko owns well-tuned and developed vocals – which also unites with him, so to say, with the "old school" of the Ukrainian variety art. Finally, you should agree, it's just nice – when lyrical songs are performed with not a only beautiful, but also professionally polished voice...
