CD "The Green Murmur of Polissya" enlightens almost all the varieties of traditional folk culture of Polissya historical and ethnographic region of Ukraine. 13 sections written by leading scientists researchers, over 400 photos and illustrations, 35 unique songs and musical works recorded during ethnographic expeditions to Polissya villages. We hope that this issue will help you to understand the beauty and mystery pertaining to the enigmatic land of ancient legends, which even now preserves "language, ritual and folk relics of the bygone centuries".

Booklet and multimedia part has information on both - Ukrainian and English.
Requirements for listening audio tracks: common CD player or PC.

Pidlyashshya is a south-western region of Ukraine situated at the border, so naturally its culture is influenced by close neighbours – Belarus and Poland. In those parts along with usual songs you may also hear spiritual songs, Russian romances and songs, which once used to be Polish, but now have already become Ukrainian.
