It is well known that Ukrainians like to have rest. It is also well known that they like to have rest sitting at a well served dinner table. Still the main thing is that they certainly like to have rest singing songs and there’s no holiday for them without a song. Due to such attitude, peculiar classics of drinking songs have formed by themselves and everybody knows and sings these songs. So, this disc contains these particular songs and they are performed in such a way as if they were performed by all people if they could sing – to say simply, in a very beautiful way.

Полностью согласен с Кисонькой-такую музыку нужно распростронять в России.Правда,я захожу довольно регулярно в Украинский культурный центр и рассказал им об этом сайте.Описал диски,которые тут есть,но мне ответили,что у них свои поставщики и вряд ли что-то будет заказано у УМКИ.Очень странно и грустно,ведь в УКЦ (ул.Арбат,9) выбор СД достаточно беден.

Представленные здесь песни я впервые услышала на одноимённой кассете, купленной в Москве, причём это был "Гурт "Подiлля", а ещё не "Експрес". Украинские народные песни люблю, сколько себя помню, но в продаже в Москве как-то до этого не встречала. О впечатлении, произведённом "Столом № 1", можно судить по тому, что я собиралась впервые ехать в Киев только затем, чтобы поискать там следующий альбом этой группы. "Гурт "Експрес" отличает большая культура исполнения и исключительно удачные обработки, которые нравятся людям разных возрастов. Но конечно, главное сокровище здесь - песни, несравненные песни, которые завораживают и которые, однажды услышав, невозможно забыть. Уж выучила наизусть, что здесь представлено, уж сама пою, а всё равно с радостью слушаю этот диск. Считаю, что подобную продукцию необходимо распространять в России как способствующую повышению престижа Украины.

Expres's two discs are great collections of traditional Ukrainian songs. The singing performance is excellent and the production is clear sounding. They dont fool around, they deliver. I just wish there would have been more traditional instruments in the arrangement wich would have added more richness and variation to the sound. Nevertheless, this is great folk zabava with all the warmth and emotion of Ukrainian culture. The first disc is my favourite, but get both. Slava Ukrajini!

Замовив обидві частини "Українських застольних пісень" і не жалію. Дуже гарна музика, дуже гарне виконання ... Слухаю під час роботи на компютері, практично не виймаючи дисків з СіДі-приводів. Всім рекомендую скористатися нагодою та замовити!
