"We offer to our readers a new book in the "Shistdesyatnyky" series, namely "Selected Works" by Vasyl Stus. The publication lets you create a complete picture of not only of the key stages of the poet's creative evolution, but also demonstrates perception and interpretation of his works. This is the first full presentation of the Magadan version of the "Palimpsests" collection created by the poet in the village of Matrosova of Magadan region in 1977-1979. Moreover, poetic legacy of V.Stus is represented by selected poems from the collections "Whirl", "Winter Trees", "Merry Cemetery", "Time to Create" and program texts of various periods not included into collections. The book represents well epistolary heritage of the poet, key pieces of criticism and publicist performances. Works of criticism dedicated to creative writing by Vasyl Stus covering half a century: from the article "Have A Good Journey" by A.Malyshko, who blessed the poet to step on the path of literature, to the latest works of criticism by contemporary poets – V.Herasym'yuk and O.Zarakhovych written in 2011"
