There is no prison lyricism. While hooligan lyricism – can be found, for a batiar is never expected to be a law-abiding citizen, right? Though, Taras Zhytynsky was not afraid to crack a joke – therefore, he attributed to his songs the sounding very similar to the abovementioned Russian chanson. But let these jokes not distract your eyes – just listen to the texts, and everything will become clear.

This is, actually, a collection of songs composed by Oleksander Smyk, which not only the author sings – one can hear here a dozen of various performers more. Including such well-known ones as Iryna Shynkaruk and Taras Zhytynsky. Thus, the disc has nothing to do with bardic songs – this is rather variety music.

Igor Khoma created unique songs. He aspired to represent his vision of Ukrainian variety music.
