"Children's art-book "The Bride" is a journey into the world of the traditional wedding dress. Is it possible to be a queen wearing a shirt from home-made fabric? We aspire to demonstrate the incredible luxury of the traditional outfit and to teach children to distinguish between Borshchiv shirt and Polissya one, Hutsul zapaska
and Poltava plakhta
, to recognize balamuts
, and zgards
. And, perhaps, one of the girls will then wish to become a queen wearing a shirt from home-made fabric.
"The Bride" is continuation of the popular art-book "The Chest. The Power Artifacts"
. This project was created with the support of Ivan Honchar National Museum, based on the museum's collection, as well as on those of well-known Ukrainian collectors of antiquities."You can look
