As known, in the ex-soviet space "chanson" is no longer a style but a whole brand, which has nothing to do with France.
And is outstandingly popular. That is why no wonder that Ukrainians also sometimes try to enter this river. But - here is an interesting paradox - one has never heard Ukrainians to perform chanson in line with aesthetics of the "rogue song".
At least, if the issue is performance in Ukrainian - till recently, we've seen two variants: the lyric one - as in the case of Erko; hooligan and heroic one - as in the case of Taras Zhytynsky. Well and right now, due to the initiative of Hryts Drapak, we see a third option - humorous. Actually, if you listen inattentively, this really strongly resembles "rogue chanson" - both due to the sounding of the music accompaniment, and the performer's intonations. But if we listen to the lyrics - it becomes clear that here we deal with a parody, a whimsical portrait of a grotesque phenomenon. Maybe, this is how one should contradict contradictory things - with the help of a smile and mocking? Well, at least sometimes.
