This is the first full-fledged release by The VYO since their nostalgic collection "Ganja". And there is a reason to hope that it will be continued – because in the recent years The VYO have become fairly active in the concert, and in the social respect. Myroslav Kuvaldin has even managed to take part in the creation of the collection of children's songs "Virsholyubyky". In short, the life goes on – versatile, diverse. And the album "The Map" really resembles a map of life. Both in terms of the geography – half of the songs here have clear enough "links to the locality" (Myroslav mentioned his desire to record an album that would be entirely composed of this kind of geo-tributes). And in emotional terms – because one can find here meditation, and irony, and gratitude, and joy, and sorrow... Moreover – it is also a journey in terms of the genre aspects – because, despite their long love of the Rasta culture, The VYO have not limited themselves to curtsies for reggae, there are also rock hits, and lyrical ballads without any reference to Jamaica. But – with the obvious skill of saying with music no less than in words. Experience is such a thrilling thing. And The VYO, anyway, have been playing music since 1991...
