Sashko Polozhinskyi, the group’s frontman, once called himself a tender “hooligan”, if I am not mistaken. The same epithet may be applied to the art of the group “Tartak” in general, because notwithstanding a powerful energy explosive, peculiar practically for their every composition, this music is not aggressive.

"Tartak" is now, presumably, one of the most energetic Ukrainian projects – in the both senses. Both in musical one, because this semi-crazy fest of motion and rhythm started a few years ago and lasts until now, not losing its intensity. And – in the sense of recording.

The variations differ from each other so much that you have nothing to do but be surprised – this sounds similarly cool with Balkan themes, and with electronic funk, and in other versions. Thus, I think, this disk can interest not only fans of "Tartak" but considerably wider audience as well.

No old definitions will match here, because "Tartak" in this disk make both something new for themselves, and not quite usual for Ukrainian scene. Persistent lyricism, angry tenderness, complaisant straightforwardness, hard mildness – I do not know how to hint otherwise...

The new variant, I think, is to unite those who liked "Guliaygorod" at once – and those to whom it then seemed a bit too hard. Because the engine remains as powerful as before, besides the specificity of aerodynamics are now taken into account in the outlines, they have become smoother and swifter, but inside there are now much more cozy nooks. Result – both the speed and comfort have grown.

He, sure, matures – but this for some reason does not prevent him from looking and seeing, noticing and being engaged, understanding and – speaking. Loudly, brightly, sometimes recklessly. It is not known whether "Tartak" is afraid of being not heard – but it definitely is not afraid of expressing the truth. Thus, with a noticeable shade of irony and even sarcasm – however, without cynicism..

...The updates are not so radical that it is impossible to recognize originals – but, on the other hand, the sound nature appears surprisingly diverse. Since a good deal of styles are mixed here, the key common feature of all the tracks is not a certain style but high energy value. Actually, it always happens with Tartak.

Tartak is one of those projects, that there are very few of, that do not betray themselves. Hence, the new album does not make anybody feel betrayed – Tartak changes, as does everything living, but remains itself.

Tartak is one of those projects, that do not betray themselves. Hence, this album does not make anybody feel betrayed – Tartak changes, as does everything living, but remains itself. Time passes, and new songs are already sung by children of those who used to sing with the first songs – but here everything is as honest as it was at the beginning.

The album sounds as if Sashko Polozhynsky has once again discovered his second breath. There is experience, there is comprehension and awareness – but there is also a vivid, direct response to the world around. And the key feature of the new work is virtually its sparkle, reckless and sober at the same time. Self-irony in action. Without significant illusions

...he is able to write real songs, that is not empty ones – it is not surprising that so many people have taken part in the given project. Thus, twenty talented, famous and not so much performers, twenty songs by "Srjabin" of different years. Twenty meetings with the clever and even rather elegant, but still punk.

We should admit, the collection has appeared to be great – it is not just pleasant and interesting to listen to. It gives multiple occasions to be proud of that Ukrainian rock music, in spite of the frequently scornful attitude on the part of mass media, still not just lives on – but becomes more and more diversified, deep, strange, high-quality.

This one is a really powerful record – the best of the series. And, definitely, one of the best rock albums in general for the last couple of months. Besides, it presents a number of songs that haven’t had any official release yet – that’s exclusive!

The collection release differs from the ordinary one in the following: 1. 24-page song booklet with texts of all the songs that sound in the collection; 2. the electronic version of the Ukrainian heroic chronicle "Our Victories" (in Ukrainian); 3. a digi-pack instead of a plastic box.

In 2010, following the tradition now, "Yevshanzillya" (already for the fourth year in succession) has become the first rock collection in the New Year. And, again as usual, the main focus is not on pop-rock and heavy alternative – as it happens in the majority of rock collections – but on a wide range of every other rock music.
