"Stepan Rudanskyi is a prominent poet and an author of the well-known Song Patters, a kind of a merry Kobzar enjoyed by many Ukrainian generations, one of the favourite books in almost every Ukrainian family. His innate poetic talent was so organic and powerful, and his language so natural and light, that one day (or night) this 23-25-year student jotted down a dozen of his already classic song patters. It is like some Orpheus set laughing was dictating him his most funny poetic adventures in the times of the biggest hardships in the poet's life, when he had almost no means for existence. Unfortunately, his poetic inspiration lasted for not more than five-six years… Together with the already well-known works, the edition also includes those song patters which were difficult to find published in the Soviet times. The book has been issued under the LaughterTherapy series, which previously published Humoresques by Pavlo Hlazovyi. In Ukrainian.
