"Oleh Kiva is an outstanding Ukrainian composer, the author of numerous pieces of diverse genres, also known for his musical film work... The music world of the composer impresses with richness of image shades, inexhaustible depth, variety of semantic transmutations, the wide range of emotional and psychological nuances. The palette of emotions in his music covers all halftones – from the poignant sincere tragedy of the confessional to pantheistic watercolor sound landscape lyricism. In each work, Oleh Kiva reveals himself as a lyrical composer, romantic, chamber author of a very personal nature. He is perceived as an amazing myth creator of a unique world... Clarity and superior simplicity characterize the composer's music poetics. His music needs no explanation. It does not need comments, it sounds as sincere confession and penetrates into depths of the conscious, becoming clear and close to every listener. These CDs present chamber vocal pieces by Oleh Kiva, which extremely brightly reveal the distinctive author style of the composer."
