POETY is a strong and coherent, but at the same time – multi-layered project by Solomiya Chubay. It is dedicated to the 70th anniversary of her father – and it is a tribute to our other iconic poets, those now alive and those in other world. Therefore, not only Chubays' lyrics and voices are heard here:

Ihor Hnydyn on drums add a completely different dimension to the sound and the aesthetics in general. In fact, it is almost a rock opera: the songs follow each other so harmoniously that one even aspires to discover a transversal plot in the lyrics as well. And, perhaps, it is worth trying: it will be your individual line of meaning. Besides, this is the family voice of the Chubays – just compare the intonations of
Solomiya,
Taras, and
Hryhoriy. But at the same time, it is looking for and germination of one's own voice. In the end, just as it was bequeathed by the father.. And yet – this is a testimony to poetry, which happened not only due to, but also despite of. And that knows how to be different – harsh, tender, transparent, deep, life-giving. Alive. For us – if we are alive. If we are able to listen and hear.
The publication consists of a 28-page mini-book (hardcover) and a CD. The book contains all the lyrics that sound on the disk. Note! In this version of the release, all the lyrics in the book are presented in Ukrainian.
